Asim Raza

Asim Raza (Urdu: عاصم رضا) is one of Pakistan’s most influential visual storytellers—an artist whose work bridges cinema, music, and cultural memory. With a career spanning over three decades, Raza has shaped the country’s contemporary visual language through film, television, and music, bringing emotional honesty and cultural depth to every medium he touches. Awarded the Lux Style Award for Best Music Video Director in 2004 for “Mahi Ve,” Raza has consistently demonstrated a sensitivity to rhythm, performance, and narrative. In 2013, his telefilm Behadd earned the Hum Award for Best Television Film, reaffirming his ability to tell intimate, human stories that resonate deeply with audiences. He later made his feature film debut with the coming-of-age drama Ho Mann Jahaan, a heartfelt ode to friendship, music, and youthful idealism. He is also the founder of the production house The Vision Factory, a platform that reflects his belief in purposeful, craft-led storytelling.
